The Gouffre of Padirac

Location: On the causse of Gramat, not far from Carennac.
Opening: Normally open Easter to late October.
Restaurants and shops: Many restaurants, hotels, cafes and gift shops in the immediate surroundings of the gouffre. One hotel/restaurant in the sleepy little village of Padirac, a few kilometres from the gouffre.
In a nutshell: One of the most spectacular cave visits in France. Superb!

Arrive early to avoid queues and enjoy the 90 minute visit during which you will travel around 2km underground.
